Albany Medical College

Albany Medical College — Founded in 1839, the Albany Medical College is one of the nation’s oldest medical schools. It is a national leader in curriculum development, having been one of the first to offer courses that wove scientific disciplines into the various clinical courses offered throughout the entire four years of training.

Yet, AMC’s approach to teaching tomorrow’s doctors, scientists and healthcare professionals is among the most innovative.  Through the curriculum, the College imparts knowledge to students in the graduate and post-graduate fields of medicine and provides a collegial, nurturing environment that fosters intellectual discovery.

As traditional methods of learning, discovery and healthcare delivery grow increasingly complex, Albany Medical College is keeping pace and breaking new ground.  Among their greatest accomplishments are the recruitment of clinical and research faculty of national renown, the application of new information technology to further online and virtual learning, and the expansion of its academic facility to better meet the needs of the students.
