The Sage Colleges

The Sage Colleges is an independent private institution of higher education comprised of three colleges: Russell Sage College, a comprehensive, undergraduate college for women in Troy, New York; Sage College of Albany, a co-educational undergraduate college of applied studies in Albany, New York; and Sage Graduate School, operating on both campuses and offering applied master’s and doctoral degrees. Through Sage College of Albany’s Sage After Work program, working adults with college credit or an associate degree can earn their bachelor’s while working and balancing family life.

Forbes.com ranked the Albany-Schenectady-Troy tri-city area third on a national list of “Best Places with the Best Education,” and Albany/Troy New York was voted the “least stressful city” to live and work by the Sperling Stress Index.

The Sage Colleges is a member of the Associated New American Colleges, a national consortium; the regional Hudson-Mohawk Association of Colleges and Universities; and the Albany-based University Heights Association, in which Sage partners with nearby colleges of law, medicine and pharmacy and other educational and health care institutions in the community.
